REVIVAL TIME DAY 2.....Ephesians 5:15
REVIVAL WAS EXCELLENT AND FOOD FOR MY SOUL.....BELOW THIS WORD COULD BE FOR YOU OR SOMEONE YOU KNOW.....STOP STRUGGLING When life is hard and payday is still so far away and when the salary comes it's not enough, there is only one thing to do. God says the struggle is over for you. Don't ignore, God could be testing YOU. Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass. It's about learning to dance in the rain. Ephesians 5:15 encourages us to 'be very careful how you live, making the most of your time.' Each and every one of us is going through tough times right now, but God is getting ready to bless you in a way that only He can. Keep the faith..prayer is powerful, and prayer is one of the best gifts we give and receive. There is no cost but a lot of rewards. Let's continue to pray for one another. Father, I ask You to bless my friends, relatives and those that I care deeply for, who are reading this right now. Show them a new revelation of Your love and power. Holy Spirit, I ask You to minister to their spirit at this very moment. Where there is pain, give them Your peace and mercy. Where there is self-doubt, release a renewed confidence through Your grace. Where there is need, I ask you to fulfill their needs. Bless their homes, families, finances, their goings and their comings. In Jesus' precious name. Amen. PRAISE THE LORD

GOD IS MY POTTER AND I AM THE CLAY..

SO TODAY I WENT TO MY CHURCH'S REVIVAL...IT WAS AN AMAZING EXPERIENCE. NO THIS WAS NOT MY FIRST TIME :) EVERYTIME I ATTEND A REVIVAL IT DOES JUST WHAT IT'S SUPPOSED TO DO. REVIVE!!! I HAVE TWO MORE DAYS LEFT BEFORE I FEEL TOTALY REVIVED. SO WHAT IS A REVIVAL? WELL IT'S AN OPPORTUNITY TO RENEW, RESTORE, AND STRENGTHEN ONES RELATIONSHIP WITH CHRIST. EVERY NOW AND THEN WE SOMETIMES FALL AND HAVE TO DUST OFF AND GET BACK UP. A REVIVAL REMINDS YOU AND HELPS YOU GET YOURSELF BACK IN ORDER. ANYWHO I COULDN'T HELP NOTICE IN SERVICE AND IN TONIGHTS REVIVAL THERE WERE ONLY A FEW MEN. I THOUGHT TO MYSELF WHY ARE THE CHURCHES ALWAYS FILLED WITH WOMEN AND VERY LITTLE MEN. I SEE OLDER COUPLES BUT NONE YOUNGER. ARE THERE ANY MEN PRAISING? WHAT DOES THE YOUTH HAVE TO LOOK UP TO? I MEAN EVEN MARRIED COUPLES I SEE MOSTLY THE WIFE IN CHURCH. I KNOW THAT THE WIFE SANCTIFIES THE HUSBAND VICE VERSA.....BUT WHOA??? I'M GRATEFUL THAT I HAVE A GOD-FEARING HUSBAND:) GUYS WE NEED YOU.....NO NO NO GOD NEEDS YOU!!!! SUMMER JAE........THUNDER WATCH!!!
THE OTHER NIGHT I HAD THE PLEASURE OF WATCHING GOD MOVE.....I WATCHED LIGHTNING DANCE IN THE CLOUDS ABOVE.....THIS PICTURE CAN'T EVEN MEASURE UP TO WHAT I SAW. UNFORTUNATLY I DIDN'T HAVE MY CAMERA SO THIS WAS THE BEST PICTURE I COULD FIND.. YET THIS STILL DOESN'T COME CLOSE.....BLACK RADIO IN THE FIGHT OF IT'S LIFE!!!!!
Black Radio in the fight of its Life?
To hear the National Association of Broadcasters tell it, last week’s vote by the House Judiciary Committee to require radio stations to pay performance royalties sounded the death knell for “America’s hometown radio stations.”
By a vote of 21 to 9, the Committee passed H.R. 848, the “Performance Rights Act,” introduced by Chairman John Conyers Jr., who represents Detroit, the birthplace of Motown Records. A music lover, Conyers organizes a jazz concert and gospel extravaganza during the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation’s annual legislative conference.
If signed into law, the Act would require radio stations to pay a fee to record labels, which would split the royalties with performance artists. Under current law, only songwriters and publishers are paid royalties.
In an interview with the “Open Line” on 98.7 KISS FM, NAB Executive Vice President Dennis Wharton questioned why “record labels would bite the hand that feeds them”:
Radio stations are the best promotional vehicle that record labels and their artists have ever seen.
Wharton claims NAB is standing up for “local radio, not foreign record labels.
If it’s about fairness to artists, why would Congress give any money to record labels given how they have treated many artists?
NAB estimates performance royalties would cost radio stations an additional two billion to seven billion dollars a year.
Cathy Hughes, founder and chairperson of Radio One, issued an urgent call to action:
The John Conyers Performance Tax Bill is the brain child of the foreign owned record industry who would receive at least 50% of the revenue that would be charged to radio stations in order for them to play music. The music that you now receive free from us - we would have to pay millions of dollars for.
And in the midst of this economic depression, black radio stations simply do not have that financial ability.
Hughes urged listeners to call or email Conyers:
TELL HIM that you oppose this bill that would murder Black owned radio and the free music that you now hear on all free radio stations. In the midst of an American economic recession, it is not the right time to send millions of dollars to foreign owned record companies that don’t even pay taxes like you and me in this country. This bill is not in the interest of Black people! Please help us save Black radio!
Meanwhile, the musicFIRST Coalition, which includes the Rhythm & Blues Foundation, is calling on radio listeners to “join the fight for performance rights” and call their Congressperson and tell them to support Conyers’ bill.

Kirk Franklin, in association with the American Heart Association, is taking on health this summer through a special tour.
Set to kick off June 5 in Houston, Franklin's "The Fight of Our Life Health Tour" will aid in shedding light on strokes, a major threat to the African American community.
According to Fight of Our Life, strokes are the third leading cause of death and a leading cause of long term disability among African Americans. Fortunately strokes are often preventable and the American Heart Association's 'Power To End Stroke' movement is here to not only empower African Americans but, to promote healthy living.

Meet "Ida," the small "missing link" found in Germany that's created a big media splash and will likely continue to make waves among those who study human origins.
The fossil, he says, bridges the evolutionary split between higher primates such as monkeys, apes, and humans and their more distant relatives such as lemurs.
"This is the first link to all humans," Hurum, of the Natural History Museum in Oslo, Norway, said in a statement. Ida represents "the closest thing we can get to a direct ancestor."
Ida, properly known as Darwinius masillae, has a unique anatomy. The lemur-like skeleton features primate-like characteristics, including grasping hands, opposable thumbs, clawless digits with nails, and relatively short limbs.
"This specimen looks like a really early fossil monkey that belongs to the group that includes us," said Brian Richmond, a biological anthropologist at George Washington University in Washington, D.C., who was not involved in the study, published this week in the journal PLoS ONE.
But there's a big gap in the fossil record from this time period, Richmond noted. Researchers are unsure when and where the primate group that includes monkeys, apes, and humans split from the other group of primates that includes lemurs.

Sun Oddly Quiet -- Hints at Next "Little Ice Age"?
In July 2000 the sun was at a peak in activity, as seen by the speckling of sunspots spied by NASA's Solar and Heliospheric Observatory (SOHO) spacecraft. But the sun was a blank disk in March 2009, when it was the quietest it has been since the 1950s.
The current sunspot deficit has caused some scientists to recall the Little Ice Age of the early 1600s and late 1700s, a prolonged, localized cold spell linked to a decline in solar activity.
A prolonged lull in solar activity has astrophysicists glued to their telescopes waiting to see what the sun will do next—and how Earth's climate might respond.
The sun is the least active it's been in decades and the dimmest in a hundred years. The lull is causing some scientists to recall the Little Ice Age, an unusual cold spell in Europe and North America, which lasted from about 1300 to 1850

Baltimore pastor who worked with developmentally disabled people was charged Friday with befriending a blind and disabled man in his care, then paying a hit man $50,000 in church funds for an execution so he could collect life insurance money.
Police say Kevin Jerome Pushia, 32, who worked for four months as an operations manager for the Arc of Baltimore before abruptly quitting in January, confessed to plotting to kill Lemuel Wallace.
Pushia told police he persuaded Wallace and “numerous” other mentally challenged individuals to list him as a beneficiary on insurance policies.
A terse notation in Pushia’s planning calendar for Feb. 5, the day after Wallace was found dead in a Leakin Park bathroom stall from multiple gunshot wounds to the head and back, reads: “L.W. project completed,” police said.
Pushia was in custody while police look for other possible victims and examine whether Pushia had been plotting similar killings, said Maj. Terrence McLarney, commander of the city homicide unit. “We have a lot of work left to do,” McLarney said, adding that the case remains open.
Wallace lived in a group home in the 4500 block of Maryknoll Road associated with the Arc, which provides resources for people with developmental disabilities.

WHAT IS THIS FINGER BUSINESS????
Have you ever attended a church service and saw someone hold up a finger as
they are exiting the sanctuary during the service? What does it mean? During
the slavery days when the masters took their slaves with them to public
gatherings, the slaves would always sit in the balcony. When the slave had
to go to the bathroom or wanted to be excused for any other reason, they
would hold their hand up and keep it up until their master acknowledged that
they saw their hand and gave them permission to leave or in other words
"excused them to leave". After the slave was given permission to leave, they
would hold up one finger as they were leaving to inform anyone that saw them
leave that they had been excused. So it means "My Master has excused me"!
SO WHAT YOU READ ABOVE IS THE MYTH THAT HAS BEEN GOING AROUND FOR SOME TIME. I HAVE WONDERED THIS MYSELF FOR YEARS..LOL I CAME UP WITH MY OWN CONCLUSION AND THAT IS WE WILL NEVER REALLY KNOW. HOWEVER I HAVE OBSERVED THIS FINGER BUSINESS. THERE WERE TIMES MY MOTHER GAVE ME THE EYE AND OR THE FINGER TO PUT ME IN CHECK. WHEN SOMEONE IS ON THE PHONE AND THEY NEED A MOMENT YOU GET THE FINGER. WHEN BEING TOLD TO REFRAIN FROM TALKING OR SIMPLY I NEED YOUR ATTENTION...YOU GET THE FINGER. I TAKE IT AS A NON-FORMAL WAY TO COMMUNICATE SILENTLY. SO GO AHEAD AND PUT THAT FINGER UP.....FOR WHATEVER IT'S WORTH IF IT DID MEAN ALL THAT IN THE PAST IT NOW MEANS NOTHING MORE THAN "EXCUSE ME"

A DIABETIC LIFESTYLE.......
SO MY DAD IS A DIABETIC AND I AM TRYING TO LEARN AS MUCH AS I CAN ABOUT IT. MY FAMILY LIKE MOST FAMILIES LOVE TO COOK!!! I MEAN COOK ALL KINDS OF THINGS ESPECIALLY THE STUFF THAT CAN MAKE YOU GAIN WEIGHT IN 5MIN. LOL. SO WITH ALL THE EATING WE DO AND DID WE DIDN'T THINK OR CARE ABOUT THE CONSEQUENCES.
