BEAUTY TIP MOMENT

Sometimes women get so caught up... Work, Wife, Mother, Life....
I mean we just sometimes don't have as much time as we would like to pamper ourselves..A lot of times the feet are neglected and has to wait until the salon can get them done...But here is how you can get smoother moisturized feet at home....

Smoother Skin On Your Feet
  1. Crush up some strawberries
  2. Add them to a mixture of olive oil and sea salt
  3. Soak your feet in warm water for 10 minutes
  4. Rub your homemade scrub in circular motion across the feet
  5. Rinse
Moisturize Your Dry Feet
  1. Mix one tablespoon of manuka honey into 2 1/2 cups of almond or coconut milk
  2. Add it to a foot bath
Soothe Your Hard and Dry Feet
  1. Add milk or natural fruit juice to a foot bath at the end of a long hard day (Both contain natural acids to help exfoliate the skin)
  2. Use a pumice buffer to gently remove the dead skin cells.

GOD LOVES US ALL...RIGHT? SO WHAT'S THE PROBLEM?

Alabama Church Holds “Whites-Only” Christian Conference

The church created advertisements reading "All White Christians Invited."

William J. Collier, pastor of Church of God’s Chosen, is holding a Whites-Only conference in the good ole’ state of Alabama, and he’s not making any apologies for it, reports the Huffington Post.“We don’t have the facilities to accommodate other people. We haven’t got any invitations to black, Muslim events. Of course we are not invited to Jewish events and stuff,” he said. “”We are not breaking any laws, we are not violating any ordinances, we are bringing the word of God to people who want it …who are part of the chosen race.”

WHAT? Did they say "part of the chosen race"...Why do people claim to love God and walk around with this mentality? First I was so HOT (upset) then I started to feel sorry for these people. This is no ministry... it is a joke...I realized this is just a reminder of the ignorance/RACISM we live with and only God can and will deal with. This is just sad....The saved part of me is hurt, disappointed, and want pray for them because we are even to love our enemies...and the other side...well JUST FLIPPED THEM THE FINGA & hoping that one day their life will depend a non chosen race...Doctor, fireman, law enforcement ...PASTOR etc  (ha) ...JUST KEEPING IT REAL! Luv YA!!!

Do you know the REAL meaning of BAR-BE-CUE

The word barbecue and the open-fire cooking technique came from the Caribbean amongst the Taino people around the late 17th century. The word barbecue itself means “sacred fire pit.” The unique way to cook meat spread into Spanish, French and American cultures when slaves were brought from the Caribbean.

In the Southern United States, barbecue initially revolved around the cooking of pork. Prior to the American Civil War, Southerners consumed five pounds of pork for every one pound of beef they consumed. Plantation owners regularly held large and festive barbecues, including "pig pickin's" for slaves. Because of the poverty level in the South during that time, every part of the pig was eaten immediately or saved for later. During the Great Migration, many of the southern slaves moved to northern cities, taking their cooking techniques like barbecue along, which quickly spread across the country.

The true origin of barbecue has been debated in several cultures. Some believe it was born through a tribe in Guyana, while others believe it was a Haitian practice. In western culture, it was said that the word barbecue was a combination of words from an advertisement for a bar, beer, and pool available at a local establishment; hence the word bar-beer-cue.

As the popularity of the barbecue technique spread, the distinction between regional cooking became more about what parts of the pig and cow are barbecued, how it’s present and most important, the flavors of the sauce and how and when the sauce is applied. The main regions identified in the U.S. that determine unique flavors have been broken down into several styles: Memphis, Tennessee, North Carolina, Kansas City and Texas.

July is National Grilling (or Barbecue) Month and National Hot Dog Month, mainly due to the popularity of summer cookouts and consumption during the 4th of July holiday....Well there you go....Have a happy and safe 4th!

Did You Know...Fatherhood Affects Men’s Behavior

New research published in the 2010 American Journal of Men’s Health shows that fatherhood can dramatically alter a man’s behavior.
The 18-month study of 230 divorced fathers of kids ages 4-11 found that father involvement led to better health choices such as drinking less alcohol.
Study results also found that the hormonal changes exhibited during fatherhood influences the decisions men make about taking risks.
“Fatherhood prompts men to be less self-centered, more giving and more outward-focused. It can prompt them to be more responsible and become more mature, especially to temper some of their risks," says Richard Settersten Jr., professor of human development and family sciences at Oregon State University in Corvallis.
