2009 Mixtape Of The Year By An Artist
There are so many mixtapes that come out nowadays that its hard to stand out from the pack anymore. But one exception had to be this here mixtape by Ghostwridah called 305’s & Heartbreaks. What caught my attention at first was the obvious plays towards being an interpretation of Kanye’s 808s & Heartbreaks album. But what caught me off guard was that it was Ghostwridah putting his own spin and his own personality into various tracks from Kanye’s most recent album. Packed with original choruses and added live instrumentation and recreations, this mixtape almost sounded like a true album. Plus an original song called “Celebrate Lyfe” was thrown in there as a bonus – a refreshing one at that. 305’s & Heartbreaks is a dope concept mixtape based off a concept album – if that makes any sense. And the quality of the recordings along with the supplemental hints of production was just the icing on the cake.

Tweet is coming Back.....She is Awesome!!
Soul songbird Tweet has been working on her delayed third studio album, Love, Tweetfor some time now. It’ll be her latest release since 2005’s It’s Me Again.
Here’s a taste of some new material, with the track “Love Again,” produced byCharlie Bereal and Craig Brockman. The album is now slated for a mid-2010 release,and will be lead by the Timbaland and Missy Elliott-assisted first single, “Procrastination.” No word on when the single will drop.

Okay in order for me to get through this I have to have the following....#1 My Bible #2 My Prayer book ( Prayers That Rout Demons by John Eckhardt) #3 My Hip-Hop Abs tape (Don't sleep on it. It is GREAT.....GO Sean T) #4 Lots of fruit and Veggies #5 Protein. Today I worked it out and will do my tape tomorrow. I am drinking lots of water and doing facials twice a month. I will start doing the tape 2x a day instead of once because I love intensity....My late night snacks are now fruits:) Chow until tomorrow!!!! The Jordan ‘91 recently became available in Varsity Red, and now JB drops a GS pair appropriate for the girls. Fitted with Coral Rose, a colorway we’ve seen on several GS Jordan products, all of which have seem to allure a good amount of sales. Equipped with some patent along the heel rand and dual-colored trek laces, the pink really pops with the black accents. Barely seen to the naked eye, embroidery of a heart composed of basketball paneling is found right by the side of the heel. Both the classic DW-5600 and popular DW-6900 platforms are used, each playing off a color theme of black, pink, and white. Capping off the tri-tone and two-tone designs is slight branding from nano universe on the band.

Dec 23 · Air Jordan XI Space Jam – Release
Early this morning, two southwest Atlanta Foot Locker’s were burglarized within a half hour of each other – one at the Campbellton Road location, and the second at Metropolitan Parkway. A group of six people smashed through the metal doors and gates at both spots by driving a van through the front entrance and stuffing shoe boxes into the vehicle and driving off. Whether the timed grab was planned in part for the taking of today’s launch in the “Space Jam” Air Jordan XI’s is unknown, but a Foot Locker employee at the Campbellton Road store has stated that the robbers did not make away with any of their allotment of “Space Jams” and that their stock was sold to waiting customers this morning. MY HUSBAND AND I STARTED ON OUR JOURNEY FOR THESE KICKS ON 12/22/09 AT 6:30AM AND IT ENDED AT AROUND 6:45AM....WE GOT ABOUT 5 HOURS OF SLEEP INBETWEEN. THIS RELEASE WAS A SERIOUS ONE! HONESTLY I LOVE SNEAKERS BUT THIS WAS MY 1ST TIME EXPERIENCING WHAT I EXPERIENCED TODAY. THESE PICTURES ABOVE WERE IN OTHER LOCATIONS. BUT THE LOCATION I WAS...IT WAS GOING DOWN!!!! IT WAS A POSSIBLE RIOT FOR SNEAKERS.....BEING A SNEAKERHEAD IS KINDA LIKE BEING A CRACK HEAD...
THE ONLY DIFFERENCE IS THAT CRACK WILL KILL YOU PHYSICALLY AND SNEAKERS KILL YOU FINANCIALLY!!!!

Trials and Tribulations will either make us More Holy, or More Sinful
depending [GREATLY] on our Relationship to God/with God, Amen? Because
when testings come (and they WILL come "IF" you are Walking right), WE
will either TRUST God's purposes and FIND Peace, OR "we" can Trust in
our OWN plans, start walking in the "Vanity of our mind", thereby
developing a NEGATIVE OUTLOOK or DISPOSITION and thus DEVELOPING A
BITTER, and CYNICAL heart. We may NOT like our situation (and in MOST
cases "we" WON'T), BUT, because WE "Are CHRISTIANS"; because we are a
"Chosen Generation; because we are a Royal Priesthood; because we are a
Holy Nation and a Peculiar People"...WE... "SHOULD"... LOVE...GOD and
WE...MUST...TRUST..."HIS"...WILL FOR OUR LIVES!
The Bible says "And
going a little further, He threw Himself upon the ground on His face
and prayed saying, My Father, if it is possible, let this cup pass away
from Me, nevertheless, not what I will [not what I desire], but as You
will and desire" (Matt.26:39 AMP).
The Bible also says "For I know
the thoughts and plans that I have for you, says the Lord, thoughts and
plans for welfare and peace and not for evil, to give you hope in your
final outcome" (Jer.29:11 AMP).
Is that where the phrase "Trusting God's Purposes" came from......Hmmm?!!?

The Beautiful Sound of Corinne Bailey Rae:)
The official cover of singer/songwriter Corinne Bailey Rae’s forthcoming sophomore album, The Sea (out on January 26th in the US and Feb. in the U.K.) was released this week. Recorded after the untimely death of her husband, musician Jason Rae, Corinne admitted that all the songs were inspired from her great loss.
She recently performed her lead single, “I’d Do It All Again” on the UK based show, Later Live, check it out below.

Derek Blanks!!!!!! What an eye:)
His works of art are tangible illusions. Derek uses his subjects to
illustrate an underlying story or meaning. Derek's comical and
quirky personality shines through all of his pictures. Whether it's
his graphic designs, painting or photographs there is always a
concept present.
While this humble photographer might be the last to admit his
talent, he would be the first to offer his gift to the community.
Derek's art was recently featured in the African American
Children's book "Up the Learning Tree". His illustrations can
also be found in several national publications including
Society of Illustrators, Communications Art magazine,
America Magazine, and North Eastern Magazine. Derek's
work has been shown at several national galleries
including The Corcoran Museum(Scholastics Art Awards).
Most of his work is currently showing at Gallery 119,
located in Jackson, Mississippi
They say a picture is worth a thousand words.
If that is true Derek Blanks body of work speaks
VOLUMES.
